Replacement of Coolant Temperature Sensor

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Engine coolant temperature sensor

Open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety. The sensor is located on the engine block at the height of the water pump. Open the cap of the radiator expansion tank, remove the various air hoses to access the sensor for easier removal. Disconnect the cable connector and unscrew the retaining spring screws of the sensor. Extract the sensor from its housing and install the new sensor after cleaning the seat of any dirt, then proceed to reassemble the various elements previously removed. Reconnect the connector and top up the coolant.
