Each fuse in the Volkswagen Passat is located inside the designated fuse box installed in the vehicle. The first box is found on the left side of the dashboard, accessible only by opening the driver's door.

This contains the fuses that control the operation of the interior lights, horn, cigarette lighter, etc. The second box can be located on the right side of the engine compartment; this contains the fuses that regulate the operation of the fuel pump, radiator fan, dipped beam headlights, etc.
