Ford C Max - Video tutorial
Model: Ford C Max
MK 2
- Years 2010-2019 In this video we see "indicatively", how to change the timing belt of a Ford Grand C-Max (the one with 7 seats): it is an operation that is done at 200,000 km or 10 years: we start disassembling by removing the anti-jam protection, the engine support, the timing belt cover, the coolant tank and the starter motor; we will need to have the appropriate flywheel locking tool, in order to loosen the crankshaft pulley: we can find it for example on Amazon with code B093Q2Y31Y at the price of 33.97 euros, free delivery for Prime customers. To remove the lower timing belt cover, you will first need to remove the crankshaft sensor, then set the engine to TDC of the first cylinder by aligning with the three marks indicated in the video; on the crankshaft gear; on the camshaft and on the high pressure fuel pump. Be very careful not to damage the crankshaft sensor gear. You can now loosen the belt and remove it. For reassembly, pay attention to the details: the tensioner pulley has a notch and a cam that help you to mount the belt by tensioning the pulley, which does not work automatically, but you will need to set its indicator to the center of the cam. The belt must be mounted counterclockwise, starting from the crankshaft, passing through the idler pulley, the camshaft gear, the high pressure pump, the water pump, up to the tensioner pulley. Remove the locking pin and tension the tensioner pulley counterclockwise with a hex key, until the indicator is in the center of the window with the notch pointing towards the cam. In this way you will have completed the tensioning: Remove the tools and turn the engine a dozen times to complete the timing.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series? In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds. by ScegliAuto More videos
