How to Locate the Fuses and Understand Their Schematics in a Subaru Forester

Model: Subaru Forester SF, MK 1 - Years 1997-2002

The first fuse panel in a Subaru Forester can be found inside the vehicle's cabin, located at the bottom left of the steering wheel, behind the dashboard. This panel contains fuses assigned to: door locks, cigarette lighter, airbags, fog lights, ABS, radio, clock, windscreen wipers, washer lights, brake lights, air conditioning, cruise control, accessory sockets, etc. At the far right within the engine compartment, you will find the next fuse box; this contains fuses assigned to: rear window defroster, horn, radiator, alternator, left headlamp, right headlamp, interior lights, light switch, etc.
